Trying to take photos of plants and birds today was next to impossible. Just as I was clicking the shutter, something moved, whether it was the bird, the wind blowing the flower, the cat nudging me or just something launching in the way. So, I decided to photograph something guaranteed not to move. It looks almost sad in it’s inanimate object way, of the fact that it spends all day and night outside and has been reduced to rust.

Simply complex….so many everyday things get overlooked by us all. I’m glad this one didn’t!
Thank you Christina. One of the reasons for my doing the Photo of the Day is so that I can see everything that is around us. Sometimes that means that we see things that are normally taken for granted or shunned.
I like this picture.. something very comforting and mundane about it.
Thank you
Love the perspective on this.
Thanks Paul
Sometimes accidents turn out to be pleasant little surprises. I’m certain our rusty little friend in your photograph might have been overlooked had it not been for troublesome circumstances. I like the photo. Has a bit of character to it!
Thank you Penny
It’s true, I would never have looked to take a photo of it had the wind/cats/birds not been so annoying. So I suppose really, I should thank them
Yes, It does sometimes seem to be the little things that grab one.
Hope you’re heading into a good weekend for you and yours!
WOW! Great shot… Love it dear Mondrak, Thanks and Love, nia
Thank you Nia
A rusty ol’ nail with character
Very windy here in my hometown today. Like the minimalism of the shot.
Thanks Ricardo.
It’s not actually too windy, it just sprung up every time I clicked to take the photo :-/
To avoid that and if your camera allow, increase the shutter speed value.
Wikkid, thanks
Nothing to thanks, You’re welcome.
