A Boy And A Girl
Flying across the keyboard, his fingers tap
Each keystroke causes butterflies to flap
With each word typed, the hands start to shake
Each sentence finished, the legs start to quake
Each conversation brings lights to the eyes
Each response causes emotions to rise
As the evening goes on it brings untold joy
Amazing things are said between girl and boy
The world is so bright as the eyes start to dilate
Before either knows it, the time is so late.
They agree to talk again, the next time they’re on
He switches all off, so sad that she’s gone.
He prays that one day he can see her for real
She’s all that he thinks about, it seems so surreal
