This week’s Weekly Photo Challenge is: Resolve. I didn’t make any new year resolutions as such, but there are areas I want to improve on my photography in 2013. I want to get better distance shots (R5), better speed shots (R10), more portraits (R4), more family (R2), more insect life (R9), more nature (R1), more flowers (R6), more macro (R3), more landscape (R12), more life cycles (R7), more bright colours (R11) and definitely more butterflies (R8). And I want to start selling my photos.

Those are fantastic resolutions: meaningful, achievable and not focused on immediate gain (or loss, haha).
great captures Alistair…
Thanks Jo. Hoping that I can get better ones this year
I must say that I don’t know the technicalities of photography. But if you ask me, I can’t see how you can improve from the already wonderful pictures you take!!
These are great and thanks for sharing.
Thank you Rachel. It is nice of you to say that, but I do have a long way to go. There is so much I would like to be able to do with my camera.
Good luck Alistair and why not indeed .
I could have done with a few of those resolves myself
That ocean one captured this beach gal’s heart.
That’s a lot of resolutions! Good luck with them, especially the butterflies which I find remarkably elusive. Your photos are always good to look at anyway!
Thank you
I’m hoping that I can get some really good photos this year. I took several good ones last year, I just want more that are decent.
I’m with you there! i take so many to get a good one – but at least with digital, it doesn’t cost a fortune!
That is true. I usually take a couple of thousand photos a month. Just for 30 that can be used and of those three maybe four are decent
It’s so good to meet someone else who does the same!
Just been over to see the Church photo and like it a lot!
Thank you
I thought the photos were (already) great! Happy new year!
Thank you … that means a lot
Ah i can relate to a few of these
Great shots
Thanks Jenn
Go for it, Alastair! – And thank you for brightening up my Sunday with your photo collage!

Thanks Paul
Hopefully get fresher in this year
