A Photo A Day … June 19 2013

There are so many things to take photos of now that the sun has come out. There are butterflies, flowers, threes, bugs, spiders. I decided to macro the carnations that I brought a couple of days ago. These are also going to be available for sale tomorrow, along with Gobby. I was going to do it today, but I have run out of time as it is my daughter’s 15th birthday.

A Photo A Day … June 18 2013

I have spent a good part of today photographing a dead butterfly. I thought I could get some macro practice on something that wouldn’t run away. Apparently, I need a lot more practice. They didn’t come out well at all. Still, I think Gobby here has something to say.

A Photo A Day … June 17 2013 [BUG ALERT]

I am not sure if this is a wasp or a bee or something completely different. I was nervous in case it was one of those and if it tried to sting me as I used my macro and had to get in close to it.

A Photo A Day … June 16 2013

Happy Father’s Day to all the dads and to all of the single parent mums out there. Being a father is nowhere near an easy job, but a very rewarding one. My kids are both Teens so I have it easier in some respects – and much harder in others as parents out there will no doubt agree. It doesn’t stop me from loving my kids, and they will always be my children, even when they are in their forties.

Anyway, I was lucky to take a shot of this seagull as it went past me today.
