Teaser Tuesday: July 02 2013

Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:Teaser Tuesday

  • Grab your current read
  • Open to a random page
  • Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
  • BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
  • Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

My Teasers:

Do you not want to know who has taken it?” cried his wife impatiently.

You want to tell me, and I have no objection to hearing it.”

    • Excellent. I am liking it at the moment. Odd how they call the men “Mr” even when they are married to them 🙂 And the “said he” or “said she”

      What happened to your gravatar?

  1. This was my very first classic read and my all-time favorite. It still is #1 on my list of favorite reads! Good choice! 🙂

  2. Pingback: Moving through the Night | ღ Think. Speak. Tryst. ღ

  3. This is one of my all time favorite books! When I bought this book many years ago with Little Women, it’s what started off my new book collection! Oh, I feel like I should pull it out and re-read it!

  4. Big teeth in this ‘un, Alastair. I can’t remember if I got through it, actually. Sense & Sensibility, either, but I do so love the classics. Just selectively, I guess. I applaud your choice!

    • Thanks Karen. I didn’t know whether or not I wanted to admit it. I only got it today as a lot of the Jane Austen stuff is free on Kindle at the moment
