Daily Prompt: About Page of the Future

Write the About page for your blog in 10 years.

Photographers, artists, poets: show us FUTURE.

I am a 56 year old man with two adult children. I have a married daughter who is 25 and expecting her first baby, and my son is 27 and just started dating again.

I only take photographs once or twice a month now as opposed to 5-10 years ago when I was out all the time. I live in an area where I can watch birds all the time, I have powerful binoculars so I can watch the Chiffchaffs, Warblers, Wagtails, Prinias, Flycatchers, Azure tits, Great tits, Sombre tits and anything else that decides to pop by. I will get my camera out if I see Egrets, Hawks, Sparrow Hawks or Kites around.

I have a sign on my front door that says “Birdman” and a plaque that was made for me that says “Alcatraz couldn’t hold the Birdman”

I write the odd poem and occasional fiction piece. I do apologise that my posts are not often, but that’s what happens when you spend your time watching birds strutting their stuff.

  1. Time zooms by quicker than one thinks these days,
but a decade of interest is always better than an empty
ten, or is that tin? 🙂 lol

Have fun today, and do stop
glimpsing the wrong tits, or else? 😉

  2. I think spending much time watching birds would be a lovely way to wile away the time, but I agree with others, I think you will still have camera in hand. It is in your blood to capture beautiful images. 🙂

    • Thanks Lauren. I love the hawk. One of my favourite photos that I have taken. The best one of it was when it took flight the split second I pressed the shutter.

    • Thank you Snoogie. I very much doubt my life will be like that, but it would be nice. As I already like birds, and take photos of them, it was the natural way to look at it 🙂

  5. Wow A. I believe you silence is growing some really deep constitutions in your soul which you now share and it is blowing me away! Good words, great photos and your soul is doing very well. I think 🙂
