My last submission for the fifth Chain Writing Game – a challenge created by Kerrie Salsac. Sorry, I can’t help but leave it on a cliffhanger.
“You …” yelled Kelly, her last word cut off as Horatio’s pistol fired. Ben jumped, and Kelly helped him to his feet again.
“You remind me more and more of Ellen Ripley” he commented as he tested the weight on his foot.
“Who?” she asked with a glint in her eye. Picking up the cell phone, Kelly looked at the last number that phoned. “Ben, how did you get a job here?” she questioned.
Handing the phone to Ben, he looked at the screen. “That’s not possible,” he said looking at the name and the colour draining from his face.
