Every week, a photo is used as a prompt for Sunday Photo Fiction. This week‘s prompt is one of the Ravens of The Tower of London, The Bloody Tower, called Thor perched on a Keep Off The Grass sign. I took this in 2009.

Protecting The Grass
Bird brained nincompoop! Harry thought. I only wanted one hit, but no, they would not even allow that. He kicked at a stone on his way home and it bounded off a sign. Looking at it, he laughed at the irony of the “Keep off the Grass” sign.
“I got no choice!” he yelled at the inanimate object. “I got no money and they won’t give me a freebie! I’m screwed.” He sat down, buried his head in hands, and started whimpering. “I’m screwed,” he sobbed.
“Hey … no need to be a defeatist,” came a sultry female voice. Harry looked up and his eyes darted around the area, looking for the owner of the voice. Finding none, he called “uh hello? What do you know about it? Who are you?”
The voice sailed out of the air again, “I can make you never have the problem again. I can let you have grass for as far as you can see.”
“What’s in it for me?” he asked warily.
“You just have to look after the grass for me. You look after it; you can have as much of it as you want.”
“Woohoo! I’ll do it”
Suddenly pain coursed through his body and he screamed …
The next day, little Gemma skipped through the park. “Look mummy, there’s a bird looking after the grass”
