Someday We Will Find What We Are Looking For …

… or maybe we won’t. Maybe we will find something much greater than that.

Sometimes things happen and they upset us to the point that we want to throw everything in, quit, give up and turn our backs. We feel that by doing that, we will be able to fix the problem, where in fact we are just running from it. Giving up is rarely the answer*, hurdles are that – hurdles. Climb over them, and run again – until the next hurdle. You know there is never just one hurdle whether they be emotional or physical, ans we never know how to deal with them until we reach them, but deal with them we should. We can’t let them defeat us, we can’t let them take us back to where we started or worse.

*unless it is something that could affect your health

โ€œLife is filled with unanswered questions, but it is the courage to seek those answers that continues to give meaning to life. You can spend your life wallowing in despair, wondering why you were the one who was led towards the road strewn with pain, or you can be grateful that you are strong enough to survive it.โ€

  1. These are wonderful Al, particularly that first one. I like to think of our struggles as our growth spurts. Hope you are having a lovely weekend.

  2. Ah! The last one is good, it reminded me of people who came knocking when they needed my help. I’m not in a good mood today Al. I’ll send a message to your inbox soon! ๐Ÿ˜ฆ

    • I went and listened to this and got sidetracked lol. I don’t normally listen to U2 because I don’t like Bonio. I think he is a pretentious egotistical self centred … something. But i quite liked that track and I have heard it before

I will be glad when this week becomes last week.

      • ME TOO! I don’t like everything U2 has done….like you, I’m not a huge Bono fan. But I like that song because it speaks to me and I REALLY like Mysterious Ways because a “friend” of mine described me this way…(back when I was younger) U2 brings back very fond memories ๐Ÿ™‚
        God…to be young again…*sigh*

        • I would not like to go back to those years.

Remember though, you are forever young “You are only as old as you feel”

          • Some days I really “feel” old, especially when I look in the mirror and see the lines on my forehead *wrinkles nose* but I am certainly young at heart!
Let me be clear…if I could go back to any age, it would be 21 (because then I would be legal). But of course I would want to know then what I know NOW! I would do so many things differently (as we all would) There were a lot of things that sucked when I was real young. But I enjoyed my 18-23 years for the most part. After marriage…not so much for a long time ๐Ÿ˜ฆ
I really can’t complain now..life is pretty darn good! But it has been a hell of a road to get here! ๐Ÿ™‚

  3. Hello dear friend. There are those days aren’t there Alastair, sometimes weeks and months, still, all in all, when you take a minute to clear your eyes and look at your wonderful children and the friends that you know care, then maybe, life is doable and not as bad as it seems because there are just those days! Much love, always, Penny xo

    • Thank you Penny for your words and thank you so much for your post today. It was seeing that in my inbox this morning that made me decide that I wasn’t going to give up.

Hurdles are there to be faced and jumped and got ready for the next ones because you see they weren’t as bad as they seemed to be when you were on the other side of them. Okay, not proper grammar there, but you get the message ๐Ÿ˜‰

      Thank you my friend.
