The Birds and a Thank You

I took the photos of the seagulls taking flight on my iPhone a couple of days ago, and the others today. Once again I was in the right place at the right time for the ducks just taking off with the hen at the front giving flying orders to the two drakes behind it seems.

I want to thank everybody who has visited my blog over the last few days. My poem, Between The Pages, has had more likes in 36 hours than any other post has in all the years. I have always smiled when likes reach 50, and then the occasional one will reach 60, but that post, that exceeded 110 (one hundred and ten) likes. Foggy is close behind with mid eighties. Thank you all for visiting my blog, I seriously do appreciate it. I want to give special thanks to

  1. Congratulations Al, this is quite an achievement, you should be so proud that you are a fantastic writer and blogger. Thanks for the Thanks. I am glad I could be of help, but you did all of the hard work and I am happy you have been rewarded with a load of Likes.

  2. Your photos show the benefits of smartphones over big but professional camera. I love it that we have our tiny phones and the camera always in the pockets and that means we can take photos in any situation. πŸ™‚ For normal photos this is more than enough. πŸ™‚ Like your bird photos.

    • Thank you Dennis πŸ™‚ I don’t often go out without my camera, so I am glad that my smartphone has a fairly good one on it

      • I do not have a DSLR or SLR yet and do most of my photos with a point and shoot digital camera but more often with my smartphone too, exactly because of the same reason. We have phones with us all the day and it is a benefit and the quality of smartphone cameras is not too bad I would say. They grown up! But on the other and I am really interested in professional cameras as I would like to discover macro photography and other things. But I guess, even then I would not have such a big camera always with me. The weight and size is the only disadvantage I guess and smartphones win at that point.

  3. That’s good Al! Your site always amaze me, the way you write, post, take photographs… The list is endless. You’re just a star! Have a great weekend my friend! πŸ™‚

    • Thanks Ute πŸ™‚ I had a look through and that is the only one that I could find that has gone that far. Over 80 was astounding. 90 – amazing, but to go over 100 – that was out of this world

      • Great to have something like that occasionally, it keeps the spirits up! Your poems are great though and you deserve even more views! The book poem is great I only read it today… and you got another like πŸ˜€
