Photo of the Week – Week 12

Just recently, some workmen have been into the derelict building area and have been ripping up the weeds and bushes. The result is that some of the 12th century buildings have been out in plain sight now, and the building work is glorious.

    • It is stunning how far back it goes. There is a 4,000 year old boat in the local museum and a 2,000 year old house nearby as well 🙂

    • I did 🙂 We have a boat in the local museum that dates from 1500 BC and this town had 2 pharos (lighthouses) built in 120 AD

  1. That is amazing. Being in such a “young” country (in terms of fixed structures and architecture) this just fascinates me.
