You Can’t Stop The Waves But You Can Learn to Surf

Good things and bad things come in at us and neither of them last. You can enjoy the good life, but invariably, it will end and you will have to go back to picking up pieces again and think “why did that have to end, I was really enjoying that. Look at it the other way though. When something bad ends, we can sit back and breathe a sigh of relief and say “wow, it is over”. Each time one of these hits us, it is up to us how we deal with it.

We can say “yes, this is good. I will procrastinate now” or we can say “yes, this is good, let’s try to keep it that way”. Conversely, we can say “this is awful. Why oh why oh why is it me?” or we can say “this is awful, let’s see what we can do to change this.” Surf the waves!!

Have a good weekend everybody.

  1. Thesea re brilliant. My favourite is the one with the happy moments….. as it is so true, all our life we search for happiness and miss the moments we are truly happy. therea re so many things in life which adds to our happiness so we should appreciate them.

    • There are. Those small moments make up the big moments and we tend not to remember them as we hope for something bigger and better
