Good things and bad things come in at us and neither of them last. You can enjoy the good life, but invariably, it will end and you will have to go back to picking up pieces again and think “why did that have to end, I was really enjoying that. Look at it the other way though. When something bad ends, we can sit back and breathe a sigh of relief and say “wow, it is over”. Each time one of these hits us, it is up to us how we deal with it.
We can say “yes, this is good. I will procrastinate now” or we can say “yes, this is good, let’s try to keep it that way”. Conversely, we can say “this is awful. Why oh why oh why is it me?” or we can say “this is awful, let’s see what we can do to change this.” Surf the waves!!
Have a good weekend everybody.

Great quotes. Very inspiring 🙂
Glad to be of help Tina
Thesea re brilliant. My favourite is the one with the happy moments….. as it is so true, all our life we search for happiness and miss the moments we are truly happy. therea re so many things in life which adds to our happiness so we should appreciate them.
There are. Those small moments make up the big moments and we tend not to remember them as we hope for something bigger and better
Especially love the last one. Thanks for sharing these with us Alastair. 🙂
Thanks Rosy.
As always I enjoyed your inspiring quotes.
Thank you Kim 🙂 Although they are not mine. I just borrowed them 🙂
I know but you put them together for us to enjoy.

I agree. 😀
Thanks Raewyn 🙂

I have found the key to surfing life’s biggest waves is remembering to breathe and just staying upright.
That’s fantastic advice Joseph
Thank you!
Great reminders Al, particularly the one about damaged people. 🙂
I think damaged people are the most dangerous. They survived once, they will do so again
I’m a damaged person. Does that make me dangerous? 😉
Of course 🙂 You know how to survive
I’ve never considered myself dangerous. I will have to remind my husband of this when he gets a bit feisty! 😉
Haha 🙂
Very good reminders. I hope you are doing ok.
Thanks Sheena. I’m fine. How’s you doing?
Hanging in there…barely, but still there 🙂
If you are hanging in there, then that means you can head upwards 🙂 The bottom is a great place to build a foundation from
Good perspective 🙂
On an unrelated note, did you see what I ended up doing to your pictures yesterday in my post? I apologize for the lame joke!
I did. It was awesome 😀 I loved it
