A Cumbrian Adventure (Part One)

Over the weekend, I went to my friend’s wedding in Cumbria. 460 miles away. A long old journey, but worth it to see my friend make the best move of his life. The views of that area of the country are nothing short of spectacular. These are some of the shots. A lot of these I took whilst poking the camera out of a moving car. The one of my daughter wasn’t though.

  1. Thank you so much for capturing the gorgeous photos from your trip! Farrah is gorgeous as well!! πŸ˜‰ SIgh…I will live vicariously through your photos as then commit them to memory as motivation to earn enough so I can someday take that tour of your beautiful country!! πŸ˜€

    • I am glad that you like them, and it would be fantastic if you were able to come here and see the most beautiful parts of our country. The Lake District is one of the most beautiful areas of natural splendour.

  2. Love the photos. Your daughter is very beautiful and I like the meerkats. My dad used to comment when I was younger about me not taking in the scenery, but other stuff. Judging by what my eyes were drawn to, I guess I am still the same in that respect. I noticed those two photos more, because they are different and stand out.

  3. Lovely pictures, Alastair, especially the one of your very beautiful daughter πŸ™‚ I used to love driving, but sadly, these days my arthritis is so bad that any more than twenty minutes sitting behind the wheel and I’m in pain. Can’t wait for second half of your pics.

  4. Wow, gorgeous, especially from inside the car! Of course it goes without saying how beautiful your daughter is too πŸ™‚

Now, since I am geographically impaired even in my own state, were you going from East to West or North to South for this trip? I just wonder what the differences are between the two areas.
