teaser tuesdayTeaser TuesdayTeaser Tuesdays is a weekly book meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:

  • Grab your current read
  • Open to a random page
  • Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
  • BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
  • Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

My Teaser:LightningK

A revolver lay on the desk beside the script.
The door to the dark hallway was open.

Lightning – Dean R Koontz (page 218) [These two sentences, one is the end of one paragraph and the next is the start of another. Adding text from either side could give away a major plot line.]

  1. Ooooo….love love love this book! Such a fun adventure! My previous Koontz favorite was Watchers…I gobbled this one up right quick! 😉 I’ll be looking forward to hearing how you liked the other you bought by him. 🙂

    • I think I may have brought another on my Kindle, not sure so will have to check. I just hope it isn’t “The Good Guy” – although it wouldn’t be the first time I have brought a book on the kindle and then in paper form or vice versa. I am thoroughly enjoying it, it is sad in places though.

  2. “Early the following morning, Venice lost yet another skirmish in its ancient war with the sea. The floodwaters carried marine creatures of every sort into the lobby of the Hotel Cipriani and inundated Harry’s Bar.” I am currently reading Daniel Silva’s “The Heist” and these 2 sentences are from page 13. I read all of Silva’s books with the lead character, Gabriel Allon. Wonderful!!!!

  3. Lightning was the second Dean Koontz book I ever read (the first was Watchers). Thanks for reminding me of this one 🙂

    • You’re welcome 🙂 My first was, let me think now, oh yeah … Lightning 😉 I did buy The Good Guy which he wrote the other day
