Friday Fictioneers – Bence’s Bewilderment

Every week, Rochelle posts a donated photo so we can create a story of around 100 words with the photo as a prompt. If you want to have a go, then head to Rochelle’s page

In order to understand this story, you may want to read the previous segment. It is part of a whole that has been ongoing for 18 months. It is that of a Vampire hunting his prey, and he created a new vampire on the way. You can read the previous episode on this post “A Bloody House“. It does have some gore in it. Or you can find the complete story in its entirety

HERE

or on Jules’ page

and you can  find the side story

Bence looked through the CCTV footage over the last few days. A sadistic murderer prowled his streets. Several bodies were turning up each week, all with their throats ripped out. There had been reports of a woman near the scenes, although he could not imagine why any female would ever create this carnage. As he pondered, a lab tech came in and tossed a disgusting lollipop in an evidence bag on the table.

“There’s some human elements in this”, the tech stated. “But the saliva is dead. If I didn’t know better, I would say it was from a zombie or a vampire.”

  1. Hmmm….methinks I have to back track even further.
Something to do with that ‘true nature’….
I’ll have to check that out when I have time.

Thanks for keeping up your end. I’ll have to see if there is anything I want to add.
    Eventually.

    • With my nightmare that I did recently, I ddn’t have time for anything else, and nothing fit. This almost didn’t until I remembered it needed the prompt lol

      • While the prompts are helpful
(I may be speaking blasphemy) you could use any prompt from any source or …. no prompt just keeping the word count to about 100 (more or less).

(All I have time for -a quick visit as the rest of my night is spoken for… I did two pieces for haibun thinking – but I may not get to post them until Thurs, as we have some work being done on the house tomorrow).
