Perfectly Imperfect

You were made in an image that was supposed to be you. You are you. You are perfect as you are. There is no better person who could possibly be you than you. You are the perfect you. Be you.

  1. I stopped by to thank you for following my blog. As I come to the end of this six month transition period, “dear God, I hope it’s the end”, I plan to have more time to catch up on all the blogs I’ve missed and fallen behind on. I hope to read more of yours. I’m not perfect at anything other than being me. I used to look at people who were so much better at things than I and wondered what it would be like to be them. I decided then, I wouldn’t want to be anyone else. They have their own problems and mine are not so bad. I’ll be back soon.

    • Everybody is on their journey which we know nothing about. What may seem trivial to us may be back breaking to them. As you say, we are only perfect to be ourselves. Everyone else is taken.

    • Giving up smoking is not easy. I gave up over eight years ago, and I still smell it sometimes and the craving gets me. It’s only brief, gone in a second or so, but it will always be there. The difference when you stop though. That is immense. You get your taste buds back. There are some things I can’t eat any more. I used to be able to eat a curry no matter how hot. Now, I can’t eat anything above a korma. The heat burns. But the taste of what I do like, when you first get that taste again, it can be the thing that makes you never want to smoke again.

Good luck to her, I hope she does it
