Yesterday morning, my daughter saw the way the dawn was just clambering over the horizon and suggested photos. So I stood out there in my dressing gown at 6:45 with a temperature of 3°C / 37°F taking photos. Then when the sun came up a little after 7 I was out there again.
Later, I had to go out, so took a couple of photos in the park, and then as the sun was going down, the colour of the clouds and the sky was beautiful.
I know the feeling. It is late spring here and the sun is now coming up at 5 AM. I woke up early and opened the curtains and noticed a red light on the house across the street. So I grabbed a cardigan and the camera and went out in my nightshirt taking photos. Unfortunately and early morning walker caught me at it. It was worth it too. Love your photos. 😀
LOL Thanks very much Raewyn. I am lucky inasmuch as I go out onto a balcony, and not many people look upwards 🙂
I was across the road looking eastward. I hope the sky was more interesting than looking at someone who has clearly just leapt out of bed. LOL. 😀
Haha Well if you were looking Westward, I think there may have been a nuke 😉
Oh Al!!! Thank you for braving the cold elements in your dressing gown for us! These are simply stunning!! I may have to snag a couple of them! 😉
No worries 🙂 Thanks Courtney
An extra delicious set.
Thanks very much

thanks very much Richard 🙂
Dawn is my favorite time of day to get great photos. I must ask though, what is a dressing gown?….a “bath robe”?
Yes it is 🙂 I did nearly put bath robe afterwards. Dawn has some beautiful sights
Now that is a dad who loves his daughter, to go out in cold temps and take those awesome photos!!!!
She did come out and grab the cat when he escaped which was a bonus as I can barely mover at those times.
