It’s A Wonderful Life

It is near Christmas, and one of the most famous Christmas films is the James Stewart film “It’s A Wonderful Life”. The story is of someone who thinks that people would be better off if he had never been born so he is ready to commit suicide. An angel shows him what would have happened had that been the case.

This is a great story that we can all benefit from. If you think you are worthless, think again. If you think you are meaningless, think again. If you think the world is better off without you … THINK …AGAIN.

You have made a difference to so many people. Everybody you have interacted with, you have changed their life. Whether you helped someone across the road, helped at the scene of an accident, stopped someone from doing something, you have made a difference. You smile at someone, you may have made their day. You talk to a cashier, you may have made a bad day good. You make a joke with someone, it may be the only laugh they have had in the last month. You have meaning. It really is a Wonderful Life.

  1. We are the sun and the world revolves around us. When that light dims we feel we aren’t important anymore. Especially when we are facing trials in our days. It’s a Wonderful Life is one of my favorite movies.

  2. You are so right, Al. Tonight may be a good night to watch that movie again…and BTW…Jimmy Stewart used to live in the house that became the funeral home I owned. I have a watercolor painting he finnished in 1942 (of that building) hanging in my home in Aiken.
