If You Are Lucky Enough To Find Love, Remember It Is There And Don’t Throw It Away ~ Stephen Hawking

I have a quote sent to me every day by goodreads.com, and the other day was the birthday of Stephen Hawking. The full quote – for which the title is a part – is as follows:

One, remember to look up at the stars and not down at your feet.
Two, never give up work. Work gives you meaning and purpose and life is empty without it.
Three, if you are lucky enough to find love, remember it is there and don’t throw it away.

All of these have a great deal of meaning. If you are looking at your feet all the time, then you are missing what is around you. You are missing the beauty of nature. You are missing the beauty of humanity. You are missing the beauty of the night sky.

Hawking is a very intelligent man. At 73 years old, he was told he would not live two more years. That was in the 1960s.

He is an inspiration. Always remember to look around you. There is so much more you can see if you are not looking down. Be brave. Look up. The world can be lovely place if we let it.

I hope you have a good weekend.

    • Hi QQ. when I was doing these quotes, I was on Facebook and would take them from some of the pages which is why I had the thanks to the ones I pilfered them from.

Some I had from Goodreads and PInterest.
