  1. You could see his smile …even on the radio! I still miss the long early morning mindless miles on the motorway that were made so much easier listening to his good natured humour and prattle on the early show. Never serious but often sharp with a not quite caustic comment on current affairs. No doubt like so many folk commenting today I never met him….yet feel as if I had. One usually says RIP….but somehow, where ever he is I bet he is still making those knowing observations

    • His outlook on the world was brilliant. I have no idea how he managed to always have a smile and a laugh. He would shrug off any criticism with a witty comment.
