Terry Made Me Think Of This

I was reading a blog post by Terry, and it made me think and parenthood. For those of us who are parents, we pay so much for our kids, but we never ask for any money back from them because it is what we do. We look after them, we nurture them, we love them, we sit with them during their nightmares, during their highs and their lows, their ups and downs.

It reminded me of this song.

Happy Anniversary with WordPress.com!
You registered on WordPress.com 9 years ago.
Thanks for flying with us. Keep up the good blogging.

Although this particular blog started nine years ago today, I have been with WordPress a lot longer. I had a different blog for three or four years. But this is the longest I have kept one updated. I have other blogs on both WordPress and Blogger, but this is the one I update the most.
Thanks everyone who likes, comments or just silently visits.

Mind If I Pop-Up Part Two

After my last post “Mind If I Pop-Up” where I posted the cover of a book “The Pop-Up Book of Phobias” with the caption “I see no way this could ever go wrong”, Joy Pixley shared a link to a video where someone is opening this very real book with a video to it.

Here is the video. Watch it if you dare. It does have some common phobias in there

Yearly “Snow On Your Blog” Post

Every year about this time, I post telling people how to switch on or off the snow that falls on your blog. Some people love it, others hate it, and some are just “meh”.

So, here is how you switch the snow on if you want it, or off if you don’t. And if you aren’t bothered, you can click the “A Mixed Bag” image on the right to take you to a random post.

So, head over to your own page hover over the MY SITES on the top left of your title bar.

Then scroll down and click the “Show falling snow on my blog until January 4th” so you can either turn it on or off.

You can either have it on or off by ticking or unticking the tick box. Tikkidee boo.
